The show at Albion park featured a red hot line-up, with the cream of PCYC boxing in attendance, including Australian representative Sam Goodman, and former Amateur world champion Anja Stridsman.
Narooma boxing coach Scott Wharfe said Jamieson, who hails from Tuross Head, had absolutely trained the house down for the fight, and performed accordingly.
“Jake walked into a big right hand in the first round, re-gathered himself and finished strongly, forcing the referee to put a standing eight-count on his opponent in the third round,” Wharfe said.
“Jake was cheered on by a large and vocal contingent of local supporters, who made the long journey on a miserable wet night. Thanks for the support!
“Both Jake and Lucky deserve praise for putting on one of the best fights of the night. He did the Narooma PCYC, and himself proud.”
With the first fight now under his belt, Wharfe said Jamieson was already back to training and looking forward to his next stoush.
“Narooma may have another boxing champion in the making, so watch this space,” he said.
