Narooma police and the Narooma Fire and Rescue NSW brigade attended the accident scene about 9.30am on Tuesday morning.
Police said the 30-year-old Narooma male driver was returning home after working a night shift when he lost control of his small Hyundai hatchback.
The car scraped the footpath before flying down an embankment, becoming wedged in the corner of the apartment complex and landing on its side.
The driver was not seriously injured and was able to get himself to the nearby doctor's surgery. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Police said it was very fortunate that nobody was walking along the footpath at the time and the driver was very lucky not to be more seriously injured.
