The Narooma Plaza Pharmacy did another magnificent job. The pharmacy is heading into their 15th year of hosting an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, having raised an amazing $8000 in total funds supporting vital cancer research and support initiatives.
The local pharmacy’s Tammy McLaren has been organising the Morning Tea since she started six years ago. “The pharmacy has always done it, it’s a good way to show support,” she says. “The customers always enjoy the event and enjoy donating.”
Meanwhile there was also a Biggest Morning Tea at the Eurobodalla Shire Council offices at Moruya on Thursday where staff donated generously, raising $1,577 for the Cancer Council NSW.
Biggest Morning Teas don’t have to happen on Thursday, May 26 and there are a couple coming up at Bermagui.
There is a biggest afternoon tea at Bermagui Beachside Cafe on Friday, May 27 from 3pm to 5pm and then another morning tea at the Bermagui Country Club on Tuesday, May 31.
Estia Health Dalmeny meanwhile held its own Biggest Morning Tea event earlier this month, featuring baked goods, live music and craft stalls, raising more than $1000.
