The Tilba halls were a hive of activity on Sunday morning with the South Coast Knife Show and also a trash and treasure market next door for the hall committee.
In the Big Hall, it was the fourth annual South Coast Knife Show organised by Sarah and Iain Hamilton from Mother Mountain Forge at nearby Dignam’s Creek.
Mrs Hamilton said exhibitors came from the local area, as well as Bega, Ulladulla and Canberra, although the flu did prevent a couple of exhibitors from showing up.
Mr Hamilton not only helped organise the show with his wife, but also won the Best in Show Hunting Knife award.
All the money raised from the gold coin entry fee will go toward the First Cobargo Scout troop.
Mrs Hamilton said there were big changes planned for the fifth event next year, when it will be moved to the Cobargo School of Arts Hall and expanded to include metal working, metal art and blacksmithing.
“We’re hoping to make it a bit of a community event,” she said.
Meanwhile on Sunday, just next door at the Small Hall, the Tilba Hall Committee set up a trash and treasure market to raise funds for the ongoing refurbishment of both halls.
There were a range of items for sale, as well as some tasty treats and sausages on the barbecue.
