On Monday, September 23, Narooma Chamber of Commerce brought businesses together to meet, greet and talk tourism at the Narooma Golf Club.
The inaugural Narooma and Surrounds Tourism Expo showcased what's on offer, and was a chance for the public, businesses and tourism operators to get to know each other.
In support of the Eurobodalla Shire's marketing campaign, All Kinds of Natural, chamber president Matt Deveson said it was important for businesses to react and think collaboratively.
"We need to stop thinking about each other as competitors and start working together," Mr Deveson said.
"We have a lot of hidden gems, and we want to talk each other's business up. That's how small towns succeed."
That would boost the area as a destination.
"It's all about the little things, the things you do to keep them [visitors] coming back."
"We want to pass on the passion," he said.
Fourteen-year-old Layton Moore welcomed guests to country in Dhurga. People explored stalls and exhibits, and purchased Christmas gifts.
Mayor Liz Innes was proud of the chamber's efforts and said everyone had a role to play.
"If we all just step up, amazing things can happen if we work together," Cr Innes said.

She said the council was working behind the scenes to support tourism.
"There are exciting achievements we will see happening in the not-so-distant future," she said. "There are exciting figures starting to roll in from the work we have all been doing."
It was important to make visitors feel welcome with "something as simple as a hello on the street".
"If you are standing in a line at a supermarket which can be tedious, our locals are getting a bit antsy about having to share - if we can push positivity out to them and say, 'hey, you're not a burden, you are welcome here'."
"We want you to come back and we want you to enjoy it," Cr Innes said.
