Alison Clapson, of Potato Point, has been accepted by the Country Music Association of Australia to attend The Academy's instrumental course.

The two-week intensive music and business course would be run at Tamworth prior to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.
The association said students would learn from the "cream of the crop of Australian music industry professionals".
Ms Clapson, a singer-songwriter, had played guitar for 15 years but had found a new passion and pleasure in playing bass guitar in the past two.
She said music helped her in times of loss.
"I make sure I always have time for music daily, which not only has provided comforting enjoyment but has been a saviour to myself through the last decade with unexpected personal loss of family members," she said.
"I have vented, through not only song writing. but experimenting in other instruments and their sounds."
She had an appreciation for all kinds of music although her favourites were country and folk music.
