A woman has been taken to hospital after a "high-speed" crash south of Batemans Bay, paramedics say.

Lanes were closed on the Princes Highway near the Broulee Road turn-off after a two-car crash, police said.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said five paramedic crews were sent to Old Mossy Point Road, Bimbimbie at 11.40am after reports of a high-speed two-vehicle crash.

A woman, 31, was taken by road to Moruya Hospital with neck and pelvic pain.

She was in a serious but stable condition.

Moruya SES volunteers and Moruya Fire and Rescue were at the scene.

Fire and Rescue said it provided its new rehabilitation van to provide shade for crews and patient during extrication.

Live Traffic reported at 1.34pm the highway was closed in a northbound direction and one of two southbound lanes was closed.

Northbound traffic was diverted into North Head Drive.
