Batemans Bay is one of 70 towns all across Australia taking part in the 2022 Mother's Day Classic.
After a two year COVID-enforced hiatus the event is returning, this year organised by the Women in Business South Coast (WBSC).
WBSC secretary Megan Garrett has been volunteering and participating in the Classic for many years. She is excited to be helping organise the event this year.
The Mother's Day Classic is celebrating it's 25th year in 2022, having raised almost $40 million for breast cancer research in that time.

"Breast cancer is a cause close to many people's hearts," Ms Garrett said. Her own father suffers from cancer, and she said the Mothers Day Classic was a terrific way to raise awareness and have fun.
"The stats of breast cancer are getting higher and higher and, with COVID, people aren't getting tested as much," she said.
"It's amazing seeing the community come together and a sea of pink people down Beach Road."
Ms Garrett said the event aimed to raise funds and awareness, and was open to all members of the community.
"Men, children, prams, husbands, dogs and women - everyone is welcome," she said.
Participants can enter the six kilometre run or the four kilometre walk. There will be prizes for best dressed.
Ms Garrett issued a challenge to local businesses to enter a team in the event.
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia; 55 people are diagnosed and eight die every single day.
The Eurobodalla Mother's Day Classic is on May 8 at Corrigans Beach Reserve, Beach Road. Register here.
