The shoot was sponsored by long time club stalwarts Mario and Barbie Magrin, who as usual set up the course for the event which was called “Mario’s Pairs”.
This is a novelty shoot where there are no single targets to be shot at, rather, all targets are pairs which really tests the ability of shooters. The overall high gun for the day was Gav Moulding who once again showed why he is by far the best shooter at the club with a creditable 99/112. Most of the other shooters present shot to their grade with the occasional “burgler” showing their true colours. Well shot Adam, or should that be “Ned”.
The ladies committee once again put on a magnificent spread for lunch which many of the visitors present commented on and really appreciated, thanks again girls.
Mark Raabe won the raffle which gave him the chance to shoot for $500 but just when he looked home and hosed to take the cash he tightened up around the neck area and dropped his last target which earned him a Bronx cheer from the gallery and the lovely consolation prize. Better luck next time Mark. Oyster trays went to Phil Body and Adam Mower.
