Appropriately it was the coldest swim of the season.
River Cottage Australia host Paul West decided it was finally time to take the icy plunge, although having spent time in the surf around Tasmania he was probably felt a lot colder.
Still it was a relatively chilly 15.5 degrees on Sunday according to the Numnutz thermometer and after experiencing warm temperatures of 17 and 18 degrees up until now the winter swimmers all felt it on their ninth swim of the season.
Paul is between filming Series 2 and 3 for the hit show that airs on The LifeStyle Channel on Foxtel with a filming on the latest series on the Tilba property scheduled to begin in just a few weeks.
The Numnutz meanwhile have had an appearance on Sunrise breakfast television and have also appeared on local ABC South East radio several times.
On Sunday, the 20 swimmers did their standard breakwater-to-breakwater swim across Bar Beach at the entrance to Narooma's stunning Wagonga Inlet, and then partook in their standard refreshments, hot and cold, beachside.
It was then up to O’Briens Hotel and the Raw Prawn Bistro for a delicious cream of mushroom soup in the sun on the Million Dollar View deck.
Paul has vowed to make it back for a few more swims this season.
