The new greenhouse made of recycled bottles was officially launched at the school on Thursday last week as part of a delayed Harmony Day.
The project was a text book case of community partnerships with many community groups and individuals donating items or expertise to make the dream concept a reality. Coordinating the project were occupational therapy students from the University of Canberra, Top Suthayakhom and Kausik McKinnon.
The now complete greenhouse features gables up-cycled from Narooma Golf Club, timber off-cuts from the local sawmill, 1,500 PET bottles and lots of love and team work. Assisting with the timber work were the Narooma Woodies. Follow more worthwhile projects at Narooma Little Lake Landcare's Facebook page.
