Come and see the beautiful, practical and varied art that is knifemaking in all its forms and meet, chat and buy from the makers themselves.
Local and interstate makers will there with all manner of kitchen knives and cleavers, hunting and fishing knives, axes, knifemaking and blacksmithing supplies, materials and tools.
The show is organised by Mother Mountain Forge at Dignams Creek, which is run by Iain and Sarah Hamilton.
Iain has been creating his hand forged knives for over 16 years. He aims to make unique and beautiful knives that are grounded in practicality. He also makes axes, spears, swords, his own Damascus steel, metal sculpture as well as being a blacksmith.
Iain runs classes in knife and axe making and blacksmithing from his workshop based on the Far South Coast of NSW, 10 mins from picturesque Tilba, where you may have seen him on the River Cottage Australia TV show. He is also a member of the Australian Knifemaker's Guild.
