The girders will be lifted into place using a 250 tonne crane and each girder is around 18 metres in length and weighs up to 16 tonnes.
Work will start Monday, September 24 and will be carried out between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday.
The work is expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The $45million upgrade will improve road safety and traffic efficiency and is expected to be complete by mid-2019.
